✨ Ferexra: The Land of Harmony

The water was cold. I took a deep breath and jumped, hoping the bees would lose my trace and stop chasing me. I held my breath underwater for a while and tried swimming to the other bank of the river, but I soon realised there was no way I could swim against the terribly strong current.
Soon, I fell off the steep fall. I hit my head hard and became unconscious.
When I woke up, I found myself washed up on the bank. I tried getting up and felt a sharp pain in my chest. I looked around and saw that I was lying on rocks that were pink and blue. It was nighttime by then. By the time I had woken up, the rocks had begun to glow, and it looked as if they were leading the way to a cave.
Cold and in pain, I followed the path and entered the cave. I was dumbstruck to see that the cave opened into a world where it was daytime. Pressing my hand to my chest to ease the pain, I walked forward and saw a beautiful grassland with white, winged horses , the mythical creatures, Pegasus.
The pain increased and I passed out.
When I woke up, I found myself surrounded by ogres, trolls and creatures I had only ever heard of or read about in books. Knowing there was no way of escaping, I remained calm and still.
An old troll came up to me and told me that I had a concussion and three broken ribs. I asked him where I was, and he replied that this was the land of Harmony, named Ferexra. He told me that on the night of a full red moon, a human is able to enter the cave that serves as the entrance to Ferexra.
The old troll took a blue rose, crushed it to extract the juice, and fed it to me. I felt a heart-wrenching pain for a few seconds. Then the ogres lifted me to my feet, and I realised the pain from my broken ribs was gone , I was completely healed.
I walked across the grasslands. The horses’ neighs sounded like beautiful little flutes. I saw the rivers , the water a deep purple , and tiny glittering creatures filtered it through purple plants and brought it to me. It was sweet and savoury at the same time. The trees had eyes and ears; small plants could walk around anywhere they pleased.
They gave me a necklace made of silver with the wings of a Pegasus.
It was soon evening, and I knew I had to return. In the distance I saw the famous Japanese mythical creature, Kappa, signalling to me. I followed him and soon found myself outside the cave.
I couldn’t trace the Kappa anymore. Tired, I sat on the ground and fell asleep. Sometime later, I woke up and found myself surrounded by my friends, who told me that I had disappeared for two hours and that we should probably go home.
I couldn’t make out if the land of Harmony was real or just a beautiful dream. I thought of writing a book about it, but decided against it , because if it really existed, people would try to reach it and might cause the creatures harm.
Wondering whether it was a dream or not, I walked home with my friends, when one of them pointed out the silver-winged necklace around my neck…
